These Air Fryer Churros are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and coated in a sweet cinnamon-sugar mix. Made with less oil than traditional fried churros, they’re the perfect lightened-up dessert for any occasion!

📝 For the Churro Dough:

  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

📝 For the Coating:

  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)

Instructions

Step 1: Make the Dough

1️⃣ In a saucepan over medium heat, bring water, butter, sugar, and salt to a simmer.
2️⃣ Once butter melts, stir in flour and mix continuously until a smooth dough forms.
3️⃣ Remove from heat, let cool for 5 minutes, then mix in eggs and vanilla until smooth.

Step 2: Pipe the Churros

4️⃣ Transfer dough to a piping bag with a star tip.
5️⃣ Pipe 4-inch strips onto parchment paper.

Step 3: Air Fry the Churros

6️⃣ Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
7️⃣ Lightly grease the basket and place churros inside, leaving space between them.
8️⃣ Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown.

Step 4: Coat in Cinnamon-Sugar

9️⃣ Brush warm churros with melted butter, then roll in cinnamon sugar.
🔟 Serve warm with chocolate or caramel sauce!
